A twisted Juniper tree overlooking the beautiful setting of the Colorado National Monument near Grand Junction Colorado. The monument has Sheer-walled canyons cut deep into sandstone and granite–gneiss–schist rock formations. This is an area of desert land high on the Colorado Plateau, with pinyon and juniper forests on the plateau.
I dug back into the archives for this one, as our NXNW group is heading back to that area of the country later this year for our annual trip along with the Moab area as well, looking forward to getting back out that way. This trip was my first with the group back in 2013.
Thanks for stopping!
