The Last Stop

We took a long weekend trip to Gettysburg last week, one of our favorite places. We were a bit late for the leaves but we still had a great time. Both images are taken at the area of the railroad cut, one of the areas where there was heavy fighting the first day of the battle July 1, 1863, This place is really cool because they have some old Scenic railroad cars parked in the cut, pretty much rotting away sad to say. Even though I have photographed these before I still like to swing by the area and check out the cars and see if I can get a different angle. I am sure the place is off-limits but if you keep quiet and lay low I have never really been bothered there, hard to pass this spot up.

Thanks for stopping!
