The Nave

Our Lady Help of Christians Church in Pittsburgh PA sits silently in the quiet suburb of Larimer. Time has not been kind to Help of Christians, which could accommodate up to 1,000 worshippers in the nave and balcony in its heyday in the ’50s and ’60s. I believe this structure was left to rot away around 2007 or thereabouts and since has been vandalized with all its stained glass stolen.

We visited this beauty last weekend on a photography trip and it did not disappoint. This shot was from the balcony overlooking the Nave.

Thanks for Stopping!
