The End

Another view inside the abandoned Our Lady Help of Christians Church in Pittsburgh. The Church is located in the old Larimer neighborhood in Pittsburgh, once a deteriorating area that was not a good place to be around day or night. The neighborhood over the last two to three years has transformed quite a bit with new housing everywhere. Pittsburgh was one of four cities to receive a highly competitive Choice Neighborhoods grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development in 2014, a huge win. As part of the grant, existing affordable apartments on the site are being replaced and additional market-rate apartments are being built. When complete, there will be a total of 334 units. It is hard to imagine how long these old structures will be standing.

Thanks for stopping!
