A shot from the Trans Allegheny Lunatic Asylum in Weston WV formally the Weston State Hospital. Our group was a bit disappointed in the condition of old Kirkbride structure, they totally have cleaned the place up, including all the outbuildings as well, what once was a treasure of a building with character everywhere was ow a sterile cleaned out shell with very little photography opportunities. They even went as far as to remodel some parts of the first and second floors, which was interesting but still nothing like it was when I first visited some years ago.
We made the best of it and did take some photos, this was an oddly painted orange colored room, once a bathroom or wash area in the asylum, the light in the room caught my eye.
