Stairway To Heaven

The haunting St. Peter and Paul Church in Pittsburgh. This was taken a few years back before the area started to get revitalized. This old relic sits right smack dab in the Larimer neighborhood of Pittsburgh PA. The neighborhood was once a rundown area and probably not a real safe part of town. This church sat open for the longest time and there are several photos online of the various stages of decay and vandalism over the years as it sat empty. Over the last couple years, the area has had quite the makeover, with new high-end apartment complexes, new business popping up everywhere, it really had changed dramatically since the last time I visited, which was last year. The place was buttoned up tight and there was no longer a way in. This is a Historical building so it is hard to tell what will become of this as the neighborhood grows.
