Please Take Your Seat – abandoned Pittsburgh
Last weekend I met up with a fellow blogger for the first time in Pittsburgh PA., Brad Truxell. I have followed his work for some time and it was fun getting together for some gritty URBEX work last weekend. We had a couple of main targets in mind, one being the abandoned SS Peter and Paul Church and the old Larimer School. I was in the church a week or so before with the Empress but I wanted to get back in there and spend some more time with some backup. The area these places are in is sketchy, to say the least, you do not want to wander around inside these places by yourself.
The shot above is the Auditorium of the old Larimer School, this place was awesome inside with this room being one of my favorites from the day, to see a place like this just rotting is a real shame but it makes for some great URBEX photography. The rush of wandering around inside these creepy places is almost as fun as the finished pictures, not knowing who or what is around every corner keeps you on your toes especially when you get that creepy feeling like someone or something is in the room with you. I have a bunch more from several locations that morning I will share in the future.
If you get a chance check out Brad’s website and browse some of his work, I am sure he would appreciate the visit!
If you get a chance check out my photography friends at The Photo Frontier as today they have posted an article on my Empress Series in their “Artisan’s of the Frontier” series, very cool! Thanks Justin and Armando!
As always, thanks for stopping!
