Mid-Orange Correctional Facility located in Warwick NY was officially closed in 2011. Mid-Orange was an all-male medium security prison. The outside area has since been converted to a recreational activity area but most of the old prison buildings are still standing and in decent shape. We had a chance to explore this prison at the end of July, it was definitely a need to get out of the house trip for sure.
