I was playing around in the back yard a couple of weeks back with the macro lens on and caught this tiny little bee in one of the flowers, this thing was small, almost as small as the tip of a ballpoint pen so it was challenging to get any kind of a decent shot the way this thing was buzzing around. Not sure what kind this guy was but I thought he looked cool backed by the flower colors.
I have been offline the last couple of weeks or so revamping some things and taking a break from the internet and processing. I was busy with some other things and just kind of burned out a bit but I am back in the saddle now getting ready for some great photographic adventures.
Thanks for stopping! Have a happy Monday

15 Sep 2014Beautiful shot Mike. This is a hoverfly. They come in many sizes and forms. Most types mimic bees so that other bugs leave them alone.
