Hyatt Lane-Cades Cove
nXnw 2018 continues in Cades Cove in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park we woke up Friday morning to a dismal rainy day, the rain lasted pretty much all of Friday. The group decided it would be the best day to venture into Cades Cove, which could be a parking lot this time of year. Cades Cove was fairly calm, only a few cars and us photogs. We meandered down Hyatt lane, unfortunately, Sparks lane was closed. This was a shot down Hyatt lane when the rain stopped for a bit and we made the best of a bad weather day “When Life Hands You Lemons…”
I definitely would like to explore Cades Cove again, maybe…The next day the Cades Cove entrance was a parking lot (Sunny Day) there is a 7 mile drive to the Cades Cove Loop, that entrance is on the outskirts of Townsend, the traffic was backed up and stopped into Townsend, so you had 8 to 9 miles of stop and go parking lot traffic before you even reached the Cades Cove 11 Mile (one way only) loop, if a car stops, you are stopped, I was told the 11 mile loop could take as much as 5-7 hours in a bad traffic situation, which is crazy, glad we went in the rain. Hope you enjoy my “Lemonade” Shot.
Thanks for stopping
