Enchanted Rock

Enchanted Rock in the Texas Hill Country, Dave Wilson and I ventured out one morning and climbed the giant granite rock before the heat of the day set in. Unfortunately, it was a cloudy morning with gray skies when we arrived. There were some spots of clouds breaking but they did not last long. We made the best of it and still have a great morning. Enchanted Rock is a fabulous place.

Thanks for Stopping!

  1. You didn’t mention the fact that we made an attempt on the summit the previous afternoon under clear, blue skies and 110 degree temperatures. We had to give up due to exhaustion and dehydration after 20 minutes. Thank goodness we got back to Fredericksburg and restored ourselves with a few frothy beverages before returning the next morning to start our ultimately-victorious climb.
