Canadian National 47 Locomotive-Steamtown
Another shot from the Steamtown Historic Site in Scranton PA, the Canadian National 47 Locomotive a 4-6-4T, Builder: Montreal Locomotive Works, September 1914
This particular locomotive and attached cars was extremely grungy, just begging to be shot. I decided to go black and white with this one, the color version was just not working with me. I thought the B&W gave this a more of a nostalgic look, old Scranton back in the day. Now I have to go prepare for another winter funfest with 6-10 inches of snow expected tonight, yipee.
Have a great week, Thanks for stopping

4 Feb 2014Spectacular image Mike. Did you get “fishy” with it? :) Perfect B&W conversion.

4 Feb 2014The B&W treatment definitely gives a more old-time feel. And I love all the textures here.

4 Feb 2014B&W was definitely the way to go here, Mike. It brings out all the grit and textures in both the engine and the trackbed.
