A grand view awaits atop Mt. Washington, one of the most visited neighborhoods in Pittsburgh. High atop Mt. Washington in Pittsburgh offers one of the most unique views of a city you can get and definitely a stop for Robert Lussier, Brook Ward and I on our visit to the city last week.
Mt. Washington, named after Young George Washington who once stood along what is now Grandview Avenue and mapped the land and rivers below for the British who lay claim to the forks of the Ohio River. Running the length of the mount, Grandview Avenue provides unique vantage points of Pittsburgh’s beautiful skyline. I would advise arriving early or late to avoid the crowds of people who flock to Mt. Washington to take in the views and snap a photo or two.
Thanks for Stopping!
