Our trips usually have a specific main target in mind for photography; this one was Ricketts Glen State Park and waterfalls. However, you have to wander around and see the countryside. Home base was right outside of Dushore, Pennsylvania, and driving around the area is always fun, and you never know what you will find. We came across the town of Mildred, Pennsylvania, population 430. The town was very photogenic, kinda run-down, lots of character so we hopped out of the car and started to wander around and explore.
This was a staircase I found in an abandoned property that was for sale. A few minutes later, a shiny, bright pickup truck stopped me on the main road and gave me the third degree, questioning me on why our group was taking pictures of several properties in town. I wiggled my way out of it, telling him we were from out of town and just enjoying the different architecture we had not seen before (We have seen plenty!). He still was not amused and left pretty angry, so I proceeded to the new Dunkin ‘ Donuts shop that was coming soon; that’s another story and another photograph to come.
Thanks for stopping
