Enchanted Rock

Enchanted Rock in the Texas Hill Country, Dave Wilson and I ventured out one morning and climbed the giant granite rock before the heat of the day set in. Unfortunately, it was a cloudy morning with gray skies when we arrived. There were some spots of clouds breaking but they did not last long. We made the best of it and still have a great morning. Enchanted Rock is a fabulous place.

Selfie Stick

Selfie Stick

You find them everywhere anymore, the inevitable selfie stick! This one inside the Texas State Capitol building in Austin. On my second visit to Austin this year we went back to the Capitol building as I wanted to play around with my new 11mm lens and it did not disappoint. The wide view captured the ground level up to the top floor and then some, depending on the angle the 11mm can produce some really cool distortion that I think adds some character to the scene. Such a cool place to shoot, even the second time around!
