Rubber Bowl

The Rubber Bowl-Akron Ohio

I met up with Brook and Blair Ward a couple weekends ago in search of some URBEX goodness. We spent some time at The Rubber Bowl, the now abandoned football stadium of the Akron University Zips, the stadium was built in 1940 and just recently it was scheduled for demolition in the near future.

Unfortunately, our other two locations were a bust, both basically recently demolished, so it ended up being a short day but fun none the less.

Thanks for stopping!

And yet they maintain the field and keep it marked? Bizarre…

Looks like a perfectly good stadium! Crazy textures. Good Stuff!
