Fort Pitt View

The view of the Pittsburgh skyline from the Fort Pitt Bridge is nothing short of breathtaking. As you emerge from the Fort Pitt Tunnel heading eastbound, the city dramatically reveals itself in a cinematic moment that never fails to impress. Within seconds, the darkness of the tunnel gives way to a sweeping panorama of downtown Pittsburgh, framed by the confluence of the Monongahela and Allegheny Rivers forming the mighty Ohio. This is a slightly different view, from underneath the span, using the bridge pilons to frame the city.

The skyline is anchored by the U.S. Steel Tower, PPG Place with its glass spires, and the modern lines of the Highmark building.
