The Eastern Tiger Swallowtail (Papilio glaucus) is a magnificent butterfly native to eastern North America. It’s one of the most recognizable butterflies due to its bold coloration and large size. They’re a favorite among butterfly watchers due to their beauty and striking contrast in color, and they are often seen in gardens, especially if there are flowers like lilacs, milkweed, or thistles, which they are attracted to. I captured this specimen on our Milkweed plants in the back 40, this year we will be adding Bee Hives to the Farm, which should be interesting!
