Housed in a former Roman Catholic church in Pittsburgh’s Lawrenceville neighborhood, The Church Brew Works is one of the city’s most unique breweries. The building, originally St. John the Baptist Church, built in 1902, was transformed into a brewpub in the mid-1990s. Today, the gleaming steel brewing tanks sit on the altar, blending sacred architecture with the craft of beer-making.

The space is breathtaking, with its original stained-glass windows, vaulted ceilings, and colorful murals preserved to honor the building’s history. The menu features award-winning craft beers brewed onsite, along with hearty pub fare that pairs perfectly with the atmosphere.

Thanks for stopping
